  1. When we judge based on the things we have seen through social media our perspective is often limited, and this judgement is blinding, and might not reflect the truth, but perpetuates the shame of that statement.

  2. Is technology a blessing or a misfortune? Our reliance towards technology has made it an obsession, to the point it seems that we are existing in a virtual world outside of our own, we are existing in a virtual reality but neglecting our own, because we are hooked to this false sense of being

The work looks at the choices made by individuals in the consumption of plastics. It also questions our attitude towards the environment through the use of these materials which also boils down to the difficult choice of disposal or repurposing? This work also attempts to raise awareness about the excessive use of plastics in our society today and to also create awareness of the misconceptions of plastics in relation to myth and reality.

The conscience is a leading part of our spirit, a person's moral sense of right and wrong that every human being must have, and it is usually expressed through gratitude. Using symbols that are commonly seen in Chinese temples and the environment like the moon and hand that is asking and giving, this presents the viewer a chance to reflect on their life - what’s good and bad or do for the sake of doing, asking questions that we already have in mind and people to affirm the thoughts. Regardless of who you ask in the end, it's your choice.

Mom, I'm Back is an encaustic based piece that incorporates elements of nature as the primary focus to speak about the cycle of life and death. To showcase the beauty of the dead, using 'insects' as his subject as he plays around with everyday life objects used in our society.

This work recites the story of Choo's dreams being temporarily halted due to the interference of the “system’. Nonetheless, the impediment of the ‘system’ did not stop him from chasing his dreams and this work reacts to his experience towards this 'system'. The actions and voices of those who supported him conveyed his rectitude during his absence and heightened his purpose stronger through perseverance and resilience.

Subsequent to the saga, this installation piece acts as a voice for his journey as he plays around with the suggestion of space, text, and light with shadows. Incorporating the everyday life and the interior of the body, he wishes to depict the feeling of being oppressed by the 'system'.

Rooms and doors are representative of the painful memories that linger in the experience of the loss of my father. Without any form of sentimental momento to hold on to, the image of his subtle figure is hazily etched in my mind. Despite his firm and stern ways with me, I respected him. Through this work, I attempt to project my grief seen through the peephole of the door. This is my 'gift' to him.

Apathy attempts to address the negative impact of our actions upon the animals, which have suffered from our experimentations and consumption. These ceramic animals are presented in various ways to mimic the distress they are subjected to within labs or butcheries.

Through this work, I wish to provoke the reflections of the viewers on the ethics of over-consumption, and to raise awareness on animal abuse.

The act of time passing and nature slowly taking over man-made creations is what coexistence depicts.

Using plaster as the primary medium, the imagery of growth and evolution is shown as he wishes to show that the stale, repetitive architectural landscape is given a new aesthetic, visual beauty through the organic forms created by nature.

Preserve is a work that attempts to critique the values and principles of deforestation for our own benefits.

I firmly believe that what we have taken from nature would eventually be reclaimed.

My selection of wood, grass, and hay reflects the gradual depletion of these natural materials should we over-consume them.
